Thanks, I saw that thread but thought it was just about campus carry. I post on a couple of blade forums and always thought it was funny that I could carry three handguns on me legally if I wanted to but couldn't carry a knife that opened with one hand. Exactly. |

Quoted: Also a new bill being introduced that repeals the requirement for deer (& bear) hunters to wear those silly-ass backtags. It's about time. If someone is poaching or trespassing you aren't likely to read the backtag number anyways. |

The backtag repeal has been proposed before, but the DNR is so against it. Well, it would put all the back tag holder manufactures out of work.........lol With only 2 states requiring them, there can't be many jobs at risk.

Back to the original topic. How is an Auto knife defined? I have a Kershaw Blur that I can surely open with one hand. Kershaw calls it an assisted open knife. In violation? Quoted:

The only somewhat positive thing I have heard from it is when the Hmong guy's number was seen and partially written down (IIRC) after he shot those other hunters. |

The bill is not getting a vote in the senate until January and is possibly dead. What's with the "possibly dead"? Senate org is the committee that releases bills to the floor in the senate. Most of the bills in senate org are on the calendar for tomorrow. Ones that are not on the calendar have an issue that has kept them from the floor. There must be an issue on the knife bill that kept it from getting on the calendar. I said "possibly dead" because there is always January which will have the next floor day. |
