Hey guys, been a while, been very busy with life. I'll just get to the point. I'm looking to finally get my first suppressor. Looking at the SilencerCo Osprey 45. I just don't know the best way to go about it. I know I'm going to need a Form 4, fingerprints, photos, LEO sign off and all that. I just need somebody that would be willing to help me walk through it all. Like where to buy, a good SOT. What is the wait time these days? |

If you are in the Milwaukee area, Paul Pettersen is a good trust attorney. Here is a link http://www.manta.com/c/mm3ylsp/petterson-paul-e
Trust is the way to go. $300 flat fee, but worth it to be done right IMHO. +1 on BTK as an FFL. I go to him for all my transfers. Once you have your trust set up check out Silencer Shop. I just used their silencer direct program and it's very simple. Good luck. |

My father does NFA trusts and other estate planning - he is in Grafton. PM me for contact info if you'd like.
LEOtrainer (Larry E in Verona) is GTG, as is prebans (Mike K. in Brookfield area). The 45Osprey is a nice can but is very large. I might suggest you wait for the shorter version, or perhaps look at the K and M variants coming out from AAC. I've shot the TiRant and Osprey side by side and the only real benefit to the Osprey was using factory sights in low/no light. |

If you have been away a while then welcome back.
For those that may be looking for an NFA dealer in the NW there is a new one, JB's Firearms is an 07/ 02 is a licensed ammunition manufacturer. Very nice guy. For up to date information on the NFA lawsuits, find it Here |

+1 for the trust
I've used Shooting Systems for one of my cans. Larry is good people. My last can I did with Silencer Shop. Used the Silencer Shop Direct and it was way easy. My first choice would be to find a stocking dealer with what you want on hand. Second choice would be Silencer Shop Direct. |
