From what I read and interpret, it’s legal carry a concealed knife (exception of switchblades) as a concealed carry weapon.  Yes or no?

If I recall there used to be something about a 3” blade length limit for concealed but I’m assuming that no longer applies to a concealed carry licensee?

I have a Gerber Guardian Backup (fixed 3.4” blade) knife that I’d like to use when out jogging.  Just thought I’d double check with the Arfcom brain trust if that was kosher.

I think the 3" blade length is more of a local ordinance thing but I could be wrong.

Chapter 941 of the Wisconsin Statutes is silent on knives except for switchblades.

There is no pre-emption on knives, like there is on firearms, in state statutes. Local municipalities are free to enact whatever ordinances they want, as far as blade length, etc. Some do, some don't. However, the state CCW statute explicitly allows the carry of "a knife" by anyone with a CCW license, with no blade length restriction. When there is a conflict between a state statute and a municipal ordinance, I believe the state statute will take precedent.
