I sure have found a solution to those annoying robocalls. Their robot calls... my robot hangs up on them. They've called everyday, 2-3 times daily, for 2 weeks. Didn't even know how many calls they've tried, and how many annoying messages I would have had to delete from our old answering machine, until I looked at my caller ID log on Direct TV last night.

Which phone system are you using? Time Warner only lets me block 25 numbers and the list is getting full. I need a better solution. Panasonic cordless phone/answering machine, I got the 4 handsets model. Model KX-TG6844B. You can also buy with just 2, 3, or as many as 6 handsets (last numerical digit of model number, determines number of handsets). Allows blocking of 250 individual numbers, within the phone itself (no monthly fees to the phone company for call block service, but you do need caller ID). Also has "blanket" blocking of all those "unavailable, unknown, out of area, private" callers. If there's no 10 digit number shown in caller ID, it blocks the call. For blocking calls, phone rings one time (just long enough for it to read the caller ID)... if it's a call slated for blockage, it simply disconnects the call immediately. Caller hears one ring, then dial-tone. More info in this thread. |
