has anyone had any luck with these in either the 5.56 or 300 blackout? I just picked up a few boxes and want some input on them!
Thanks Dave |

CCI 41 is perfect for 5.56.
I've shot probably 4k reloads I made using CCI 41 primers, and they all ignited properly. I have not had the same luck with Wolf primers. A few duds per K and some that did not ignite my powder (WC 844). Wolf is relegated to my blasting ammo pile. CCI is my go-to primer. |

From CCI's site - use the same data as magnum primers:
http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/primers/primers.aspx?id=30 In my experience, they're great. I use CCI primers exclusively, never had a problem. |

Use magnum load data. |

What does 'use magnum load data' mean with respect to 5.56mm loadings? I don't use magnum primers for that caliber. Magnum primers are generally "hotter", so the idea is to use less powder than you would use with a "regular" primer. i.e. start lower and work your load up, because you don't want a kaboom. |

However, Wolf shines with H322. |

Edit: Looks like ALL my powders are slower. Damn. |

A very knowledgable member over at the other site recommends Wolf SMR under H322 and 77gr. SMK's.
PM me if you would like his recipe. I've had good results with 450's and H322 under a Hornady 75gr. match projo. I have yet to try the Wolf SMR's since I can't find them anywhere right now. Same with the SMK's. I can't wait until the market returns to normal. |
