Saw an add on Armslist. Circle B show in Cedarburg this Sunday. I thought they ere done - the show had gone to crap in the last couple of years - very poorly advertised.
Guess couldn't pass up an opportunity to get back into it with all the panic buying going on. Slinger show last weekend(Friday) was assholes to elbows, parking lot full. |
| Just down the road from me, but I'll probably skip it. There's never anything good there, and prices are always rediculous. THere was at least one vendor form whom I used ot buy small parts for ARs (maintenance replacements and such) but I'm sure they are tapped out right now. |

That's one of Gene's shows. Same guy that does FDL. Always seemed like a decent guy from the little I talked to him.
I went to Circle-B frequently about 7 or 8 years ago. I think I scored one reasonable deal off of a table. Once. Anything else that was ever worth transacting was between walkers. I don't have time to play stalk-the-walker, and got extremely tired of the same bunch of folks, at every show, swarming me every time I carried something in, all trying to get it for nothing and re-sell it the same day. Completely irritating to be mobbed by a bunch of amateur used car salesmen that don't bathe. They aren't looking for a gun that they want. They're looking for anything that they think they can mark up. It forces all of the used prices towards MSRP. No one buys anything. No one sells anything. Everyone complains. Gun shows became not-fun, and I became too busy to justify going. I can surf the EE in three minutes with no travel time and no smell. Add in today's situation where every starry-eyed walker has heard the news that people are throwing buckets of cash at whatever they can get their hands on, and I can't see making the trip. Last time I enjoyed a gun show it was because FMD, Rogue1, Flamethrower, and myself made a complete circus out of a few tables and laughed the evening away. |

It was awesome. But only because Germans make good stuff. |
