Just a rant about 2 incidents within a month of eachother...
My wife and I have 2 Romney signs in the front yard. Just regular yard signs that we got from the Republican booth at state fair. Nothing huge. Both signs are obviously in our yards, not near the street or any neighbor's yards. A few weeks ago my wife was in the front yard letting our dog do its business. A car drove past, makes a 180, and as they drive past again a guy leans out the passenger window yelling " Fuck you and fuck Romney!!!" while simultaneously flipping off my wife with both hands. My wife returned the salute and noticed several Obama bumper stickers on the car. This morning I received a call from my wife. The city crews were out and about cleaning up the leaves that have accumulated on the street in front of everyone's houses. My wife peeked out the window to see what they were doing and she saw one of the workers try to take one of the Romney signs off the frame. He stopped and got back in his truck when he spotted my wife opening the door. She has made a call to the city, no reply as of yet. Before you ask, no, the sign was more than far enough away from the road. There were no leaves that he would have had to move the sign to clean. I'll admit that I shake my head on occasion when I see someone with a bunch of Zero signs in their yard. But I have never leaned out my car window to flip off and yell at some random woman and her dog in her front yard, or steal someone's yard sign. And these weren't even punk ass kids that I could write off as " oh, thats just kids being kids ". Weak rant, I know, but it sure ticked me off. |

I would call the city until you got a response. I would also contact your alderman and complian. Also make a formal complaint to the city council in your area. Do it all. |
| And this is exactly why I don't have bumper stickers on my car. I don't want to have to come out to my vehicle to find the car keyed, tires slashed, or windows busted. Those liberals sure are some classy people. Their lead is dropping and, as they say, desperate people do desperate things. |
