Are the grounds near the Milwaukee lakefront posted for the 3rd of July fireworks?

I believe only a building can be posted, a beach or park cannot be posted, but a building in the park with public restrooms can be.  I am going to south shore and planning on being armed.

Is it a "special event" as defined in 943.13(1e)(h)?  "Special events", like Summerfest and the State Fair, can prohibit CCW on the grounds.  Or are you just going to stand around in a park to watch fireworks?

"Special event" means an event that is open to the public, is for a duration of not more than 3 weeks, and either has designated entrances to and from the event that are locked when the event is closed or requires an admission.

How did it go?  I was at south shore park for the fireworks, I think they sucked this year.  Many people left early.  I doubt I would ever watch them there again, it was like watching them in a trailer park.

that's how I felt, first time watching them there. I CCW'ed because we had to walk almost 2 miles back to the car and the area was not good after dark.

curious if the state fair will allow CCW
