Went to the range with a group of freinds. We got there mid/late morning, Chedched was right on in his assesment. Most of the target boards are shredded. The road by the 25/50yd parking area is sloppy soft.
By 1130 the 25 yd line was PACKED!! Our group consolidated on the 100yd line lots of fun was had. Alot of ARs were showing up on the 25. A few brave souls joined us on the 100. Barrett MRAD in 338 Lapua with Vortex Optics.   I should have never tried it. 50BMG may be cheaper, but I think the 338 is more fun
Did our best to convert some non shooters to the Darkside. Didn't have cookies, Brats work better  EBRs were tried. The gateway platform of AKM was their method of choice. FALs not so much. ARs were liked but initial acquisition cost was not liked vs the WASRs. I figured once they start BRD takes over  
DNR Ranger showed up and kabitzed for a bit. $79 1891/30 Mosins are too much fun. By about 3 The place was so packed, parking was Non existent. The 25yd range had a waiting line, with more arriving. We decided to bail to make room for the new arrivals. 80F+ in March makes for a fantastic range day. It was really cool to see so many family's out at the range |

I heard the range isn't going to close this year. Things got pushed back. Im going to guess that because they were talking about building a burm between the 100 yd range and the pistol range that itll have to be very dry weather. Which means that probably late july or later. Just guessing really. |
