Nobody should have to die for an empty old theater building. I can't imagine what those brother's up there are going through right now. There's a series of pictures floating around on Facebook of the incident. Looks like a lot of mixed tactics were being used (elevated waterway in use while interior attack was being performed, opposing PPV, etc.). The only hope is that we can learn what happened and use it to prevent more pointless line of duty deaths.

They were inside, and the roof (which also had a significant snow load on it) collapsed, trapping them inside. The fatality was Jamison Kampmeyer, a volunteer with the Colby F.D., and he was also a Marathon County Sheriffs Deputy... a double loss. Kampmeyer was the father of 3, the youngest being only 4 months old. Sad day indeed.
