Folks,

I do not have all of the match info added to the website yet. However to answer one question, do I have an OK with the garrison commander? Well I would not post dates for an event at any military facility without having the dates locked in.

The exceptin would have the dates listed as tentative as is the at Fort Drum we are awaiting final approval for the dates for our 5th year of putting matches on there.

For more information and a look see at what we have going on feel free to visit our website northcoastshooters.com there are forums you can join the forums to see what we are up to as well.

The Armalite challenge will be strictly for semi-auto rifles. I have no objection to legal Class III with paperwork to prove that they are legal firearms.which will be shot in semi-auto only. It will have 40 targets ranging from 100 meters to 500 meters with at least one moving target. The 550-1000 meters will have 20 targets. The handgun will be a max distance of 25 meters with 7 different target locations. All targets will be pop-up style military targets.

Good.

Lots of uncertainty about what Col Nott is going to do with the POW range and future shoots.

I understand your concern.

I have an invation to attend the farewell dinner tonight with COL. Chesser and an invite to the change of the command on Wed. and will be attending both functions. I will be meeting COL. Nott WED. along with Range Control finalizing the target scenario for the pistol course of fire. I am getting ready to leave here in a few minutes for another road trip to WI. to take care of this for the NCSA, LTD. About a 11 hour each way run, but it is what I do to insure that we stay a viable and active part of the bases.

What range will this be on?  I know that range control hates walking around in the impact area on the same ranges we shoot MK19's on.

What's the word for the shoot?

Folks,

The "word" on the shoot is the same as it was before.

I am currently writing the target scenaio's for the handgun course of fire. I am writing one that will be 35rds and laid out so that a 1911 style can compete in fairly. The rest are going to be a touch on the difficult side for the 1911 to compete in. Since the target runs will not be designed around a 7 rd mag.  A 1911 shooter can enter the other runs but I do not want to hear about " I did not have enough time to change mags" LOL They will be based upon a 14 rd string with double hit and single hits to put the targets down.
