From the top of page 8 on the DOJ's FAQ:

"Documentation of completion of small arms training while serving in the U.S. armed forces as demonstrated by an honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions or a certificate of completion of basic training with a service record of successful completion of small arms training and certification."

I hope that helps, and stay safe over there!

Open up your Iperms, print out any  DD214, send it in.

Yes...

If you have been REFRAD (REleased FRom Active Duty) before, then your DD214 would be fine (such as Guard/Reserve getting done with Basic/AIT.)  But if you've been active your entire career and don't have 214 yet, I'd hope Infantry School would be more than sufficient.

Let us know how it goes!

Infantry certificate doesn't mean anything. DD214 with honorable discharge unless you want your form kicked back and have to redo it. For that matter I would have sent them my ASI B4 diploma, but still would not matter to them.

This +1 your MOS doesn't matter....DD 214 will work. your infantry "diploma" may not work and cause you more waiting time

bronk1 did you go through Benning or Robinson for your B4?

Camp Robinson, Arkansas. Early May of 2005 when it was actually cold down there. Went back a few weeks later for Small Arms Marksmanship Course school as well.(Learned more about running ranges, and weapons maintenance than anything else)

For all the guys saying a DD214, i am still active duty, so i have no honorable discharge. Im asking what paperwork i can send in that i would have while still being in the army? Can you get a DD214 before you leave the army? if so, how do i get one?

Have you taken hunter safety?  Any firearms training classes?  If none of those, I'd send in a copy of your IET certificate.

Basic Training Certificate might work (it should according to the language on the application... but you never know.)

I don't know about the Army, but in the Air Force they give us a form when we qualified with weapons (AF Form 522). I would imagine that would suffice.
