I just got tickets to the Packers December 11th game. So the wife and I are going to make a weekend of it and stay in Appleton. Looking  for a few things to do Saturday, also looking for a good place to eat Saturday night. Thanks All!

What kind of food do you like? Chinese? Italian? Let me know and I'll recommend a great place.

Not a whole lot to do... just the typical movies, the mall, etc.

Cool idea about the comedy club, I didn't think of that for something to do. Thanks.

+1 Oneida Skyline Comedy Cafe. Often, you can get free tickets to a show (2 drink minimum, though) all you have to do is take a survey or fill out a comment card ahead of time.

Also for good dining in the area: For fine dining without paying TOO much, I'd recommend Jonathan's Italian Bistro on Casaloma Dr. in Grand Chute or the Wild Truffle restaurant. If you're into Pizza, try the Glass Nickel Pizza on W. College Ave...you get a lot for your buck. If you like Chinese, I recommend Dong Po at the 700 block of W. College Ave. Other than that...there is the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute, Movie Theaters on Van Roy Road on the east side of town and Westhill Blvd on the west side. If you're a bar hopper, just cling to College Ave in downtown. If you'd like a drink in a nice, relaxed, classy establishment...I recommend McGuinness Irish Pub on S. Walnut Street.

Good Luck and enjoy the game!

+1 for Skyline, great place to sit back, enjoy a few drinks, and laugh your ass off.

Also try Nakashima sushi restaurant. Best japanese food I've had ever, and I've been to Japan numerous times, great stuff!

I like Fox Valley Firearms, 2310 W College.  Not a big place but they have some nice stuff on occasion.  I am new to the area but I like Frankie's Pizza Palace near downtown Appleton on College.

I am also in Appleton and I'm a 1st shift non-LEO smart ass.

I did go to my first Packer game a few weeks back with a buddy from work and saw the battle of the Bays.  36 degrees and windy, we did the tailgate deal and everything I had a freaking blast.  I am 56 and have wanted to do that since I was 10.  Now I'm awaiting a blizzard game.  Have a good time!!

No offense to LEO's intended.
