My wife blessed off on purchasing an ATV (I think she is cheating on me Actually it is from being frustrated icefishing on the lake and hunting without one. I have researched and found dealers are way askew (+/- up to $1100) in their prices on the same models new and used. I do not want to get ripped off, but it looks like buying a new one at 1.99% financing seems like the best bet. Am I way off? It has been years since I dealt with them but remember my issued Honda never had a hiccup of any sort...so I am partial toward it. Looking at a new old stock 2011 green Honda Rancher 4X4. I am wondering what else I am losing between the Rancher and Foreman models... Thanks on any help, opinions, and guidance. V OUT |

I'm partial because I own two, but I would absolutely recommend buying a Honda. Very tough machines, but not fast, you won't win any races. They are geared for work.
Buying a new old stock model is the way to go if you can find one, you usually save about $1000 over the same new model machine. Not a great deal of differance between the Rancher and Foreman. Besides the engine sizes the largest difference is that the Foreman has a third headlight and a digital gauge cluster. You will probably be happy with either. |

My folks picked up a used Foreman for plowing and hauling yard material. We had to rebuild the carb last year, and last winter we had to replace the winch for the plow, but otherwise it's been very very reliable in the couple years they have had it. My little brother and sister romp on it when they ride it, so it's not babied either. |

You were not looking at the 2011 Green Rancher they had in menomonee, MI were you. If so, FAIL! I own it! Bought it on Saturday morning. 2011 Rancher AT in OD green for 5785.00 out the door. Brand new, old stock but they did not change anything from then to now. I love it, rides nice, independant rear suspension is soft riding, and PLENTY of torque. No belts, gear driven and auto trans. Loved the Honda's for a long time, and most people I know told me to run away from anything stamped Polaris.
Link to my youtube vid with her in action!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWWGhYhwhjQ Also forgot to mention that I got the 1.9% financing, as well as the Honda 300.00 bonus bucks on it. He told me because my credit was so good that they gave us both with was a nice bonus. |

Made a killing.
2012 Foreman ES with power steering, being assembled as I type. After research, the 2011's are almost being given away because of the fuel injected 2012s...up here in winter country carburators suck. $7500 out the door, tax, DNR registration, etc...included. Bronk1: You were right $300 of stuff in the store on top plus 1.99% for 36 months. Thanks so much for eveyone's replys, IMs and emails! I could not have done it without your info. Thanks again!
