Pretty sad, even with the proof of corruption on tape they still won't overturn it.

Makes you wonder what other laws are invalid.

As disgusting as it may seem, it is 100% valid.

The amendment was voted on by voice vote. It sounds as if it did not pass, but was deemed to have passed. However, the amended bill was voted on, and passed. Therefore, the amendment passed.

I agree that it was wrong to declare that it passed. However, once the amendment was added to the bill, there were two options: Aye, or Nay.

If you follow the link I posted, this is debated at great length.

Also noteworth:

They've certainly made it a priority. Look how far they've gotten since 1986.

I did not follow your link, just going off of the thread from earlier in the year.  Makes sense tho.

Yeah that's a riot.  They are apparently working to mainstream NFA items as well according to a spokesman.  I wonder how that one will look in 25 years?

I uploaded that to the Griffin Armament Facebook page and it appears to be easier to read there.  Apparently Ar15 reduces the quality just a touch somehow.

Just watched the video.... found myself yelling at the computer.

Rangel needs to hurry up and retire.

I agree with the other poster... it was sort of a "gotcha" move by Rangel... the other parts of the bill were really good, and stopped ATF corruption.  But sneaking that in was freaking low.  I don't know why it didn't make such a stink back then... I can't remember it being a big deal, but then again, I was only 6.

this video needs to be brought back often, as many forget/dont know how this happened.
