FINALLY!!!  My new Les Baer Premier II Super-Tac fresh out of the high tech packaging!    Custom touches: rear slide serrations; single sided, extended safety; serrations on the top of the slide; 2 piece magwell, that magwell comes with a checkered mainspring housing in place of the standard serrated housing.  I ordered this from Nelson Tactical (an Arfcom supporter) back in January, and it showed up Friday.  Took a trip up to GB, did the paperwork and brought it home today!  I CAN'T WAIT to try her out tomorrow!  Hopefully, I can get some better pictures in natural lighting...

Nice! Let's see some pice without all the love juice on it. Take some outside in the daylight.

If it's like all the other Les Baer 1911's I have handled it is tight and a beast to cock.

Thanks for the compliments folks!    And Flame, it's tight, but not that hard to cock.  The first couple times, there was a noticeable drag  - almost like breaking a vacuum - but that went away.   And yes, I can slingshot it!

More (better pics):

^ All the oil cleaned off and just about ready to go.

^ Here you can see most of the custom additions: Serration on top and rear of slide and the magwell (2 piece).  I also deleted the ambidextrous

safety and it was replaced with an extended combat safety.

^ The first 8 rounds, from a the rest, at 25 yards!  All 8 of 'em are in there - even though it's hard to see.  (That venting in the PVC was from a

different range trip...   )

^ 144 rounds later

144 rounds, about 1/2 230gr reloads and 1/2 230gr Fiocchi ball ammo.  I also ran a magazine of 230gr Gold Dots HP's through her.  It didn't miss a beat throughout, even with the Gold Dots.  It came with 2 Les Baer magazines, complete with bumper pads, and I alternated those with 2 Chip McCormick Power-Mags I had picked up for my wife's Kimber.  Once again no problems.  I PROBABLY would have shot more, but I was sharing the range with my wife, who was working on her skills with her new XDm 3.8 Compact.

BOY this is a sweet shooting pistol!  Fits in my hands PERFECTLY and the recoil, compared to that Kimber Pro Crimson Carry (4" barrel and aluminum frame) we have, is nearly non existent!  When I do my part, it's dead on!

Now, I need to get some new shoes for her, and some leather to carry her around in... And don't you know, all the holsters I'm interested in seem to be on backorder!
