When the Dems fled the state I was very harsh towards the GOP for not being aggressive with the empty legislature. I formally retract my venom. I'm quite pleased that they put a CCW bill through that I can live with. I'm far more pleased that they're steadily advancing a Conservative agenda. Voter ID, CCW, Welfare drug testing, Castle doctrine, etc.
They're actually doing the job in a tangible way, and my apathetic default position was overly critical of them. |

It would be nice to see someone run against Turner and win, but most likely if redistricting happens, it'll favor Turner and weaken Mason's district for the (D)s. People tell me all the time that I need to run for office, but I've helped a few people with campaigns and it's a huge strain on the family to just run a campaign. If we want to keep these advances and allow WI to get out of debt and be more friendly to gun owners, we'll have to be sure we're at every election and getting others out to vote with us. The national interests are pouring money and effort into these recalls. Much of the state is seeing the fruits of what initially made them angry, but the outside interests will get a Walker recall going next year. Unfortunately, the hysteria isn't over. |
