I went to gander today to finger some compact 9mm's. Now I need to find someone with some of the shorter grip guns so I can see what it's like to shoot w/o a pinky. :)
I kinda like the M&P, pretty flat. Taurus 111 and LC9 felt OK too. |

What about the Kimber Solo? I really want one as long as it's not too picky of an eater. Kimber is having problems with the Solo Carry. We had ONE at work, back in March and it sold in two days. Fit and finish on the gun looked great. I own a Kahr PM9 and I liked the ambi safety and trigger of the Solo Carry vs my PM9. But we will not see another Solo for sometime because Kimber has pushed back production for a few months. |

I think I am going to wait on a single stack 9mm until they hit the stores. |

Here a chart I made in helping me pick a second small CCW gun. http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/NewGallery/7/988/1190625-stnd.jpg There's 2 empty spots in your chart. Here's a suggestion on how to fill them... Kel-Tec P3AT and S&W Bodyguard revolver in .38SP w/laser. FWIW... I've been a subscriber to "Gun Tests" magazine for about 10 years. They recently compared the Ruger LCP to the Kel-Tec P3AT, and the Ruger LC9 with the Kel-Tec PF9. They picked both Kel-Tecs over both Rugers. Nothing particularly wrong with the Rugers, they liked all 4... it's just that the Rugers are pretty much "copies" of the Kel-Tecs, at a higher price. You can use the extra money on spare mags or put it toward a laser. If you buy either the P3AT or the LCP, I suggest putting the Crimson Trace Laserguard on either. They're both nice little pocket guns, but there's virtually no sights to speak of. The Laserguard solves that. I put the CT on my P3AT, and it works. I paid $235 for the P3AT, and another $179 for the CT from Natchez SS (CT now has a $50 rebate deal in progress, good til the end of June... knocks the cost of the Laserguard down to $129). |

Good points on the Kel-Tec vs Ruger and the S&W bodyguard in 38 special. I put a couple of 380's and 38 sp on there only for comparisson reasons, I was looking for a pocket carry 9mm. |
