In that case, grape jelly and sliced oranges are your friends.

The ones here showed up 3 days ago right after the wife got all the feeders out the day before. So far we have 3 pairs around here that we have identified. As was said above grape jelly, oranges and hummingbird feeders with a rim for them to land on while drinking will bring them in.

Wow we have had cardinals here all winter, nothing like stepping out your back door and seeing a flash of red in the middle of a snowstorm. The male is really neat in that he will drive off the other birds even during winter but will let his female come in to eat while he stands "guard".

I noticed this year I've been having a different species of Oriole stopping at the feeders.  After doing a bit of research I found that it is called an Orchard Oriole, which has a more muted orange coloration and is somewhat smaller in size than the more traditional Baltimore Oriole.

Have you guys been seeing any of these Orchard Orioles?  This is the first I've seen them around here, and as usual I was sure to document my sightings and numbers.

Yesterday I looked out and saw the Oriole looking at the top of a solar light my Wif had hanging out.  It stayed there for about 5 minutes.  When it left I went and bought a Oriole feeder and some concentrate. I put the stuff out right away last night.   This afternoon the humming birds came in and then 1 pair of Orioles.  We started hearing them sing tonight as well.  It made my day.
