The difference is , our bill will pass Ours actually has a reasonable opportunity to pass (at least a LOT better than past years). From what I've been told, the Southern Dems have been getting a lot of pressure over this, and are finally pushing it with the Shitcago Dems. To me, it appears the deciding factor was an opportunity to bring in money. They are kicking around anywhere from $100 to $200 per permit. The state is so broke, they'll do about anything for a buck. |

Especially with all of the recall talk. My guess is they will worry about getting other things past through first. |

Actally Wisconsin has had CCW for a very long time. If you're a criminal you CAN conceal carry. As a matter of fact, a recent poll by the wisconsin state journal stated that 10 out of 10 criminals perfer to conceal carry. They say it gives them a feel good feeling, knowing they can do their job and be safe while doing it. |

Of course, it's hard to tell the last two apart recently.

Gentlemen, any hope of a real CCW bill being introduced this year? Someone just emailed this to me and I thought I would pass it along: The Republican Caucuses in the State Assembly and State Senate have put Rep. Jeff Mursau of Wisconsin's 36th Assembly District in charge of the concealed carry legislation in the Assembly. Pam Galloway of Wisconsin's 29th Senate District in charge of drafting concealed carry legislation in the Senate. Wisconsin Carry is asking that each of our members make 4 contacts. Gentlemen, any hope of a real CCW bill being introduced this year? Yes. All our recent ruckus over budgets and unions, and the contentious State Supreme Court race have kind of pushed it to the back burner, but we're still expecting it by late-spring/early-summer. I think some here in the WI HTF feared that how P.O.'ed the unions and political Left is might mean that Republicans would get recalled, and the bill get stalled, however, now that it looks like the Conservative incumbent Judge won by thin, but respectable 1%/7000 vote lead, that the recalls probably won't fare better. And the odds of even one recall succeeding, much less the THREE needed to push the Senate back to 16 republicans, 17 Democrats are slim to none. So I think everyone's getting impatient, but has relaxed a bit. |

A pleasant message to those mentioned above, and your senator/assembly-person to let them know that it's important to you can only help. Also, if you agree with them, thank them for their work through all of the recent events. If they happen to disagree with ME, tell them to fuck off
