My fellow WI HTF members and anybody else who may give a damn. I have the distinct honor of taking Flamethrower to the hospital for a scheduled operation of the removal of his gallbladder. Please keep him in your thoughts or prayers if you do that type of thing. Any well wishes will be passed forward by me as I will be here the whole time.
He is in good spirits and is his cranky old self. 
I will update this thread as I have my wife's Ipad with me. Photos will come later this evening if they allow them. |

Update1:
They just came in and took him. The doctor gave him happy juice that basically made him drunk. He was mumbling some random stuff about the operation. As he was being wheeled out he was only under the "happy juice" for 1 minute and already hitting on the OR nurse. I guess he is a happy drunk.

Update 2: He is out of the OR but not awake yet. He is in a monitoring phase. As far as I know it went well but they havent really told me anything seeing as I am not family. His wife is being updated via phone calls. At least the waiting room is comfortable. |
Have them take out any other non-essential organs while in there... appendix, spleen, prostate, whatever. You know it is just a matter of time for those to go. Get a pre-emptive strike in.

I said it last night, and I will say it agian here, get well soon and see you Sat.! Todd is SO awesome he helped me with a buffer tube on an AR last night, and filled out the paperwork for the AK pistol I bought through Atlantic and had shipped to him. For those that don't know Todd, or have never met him, do yourself a favor and make an appointment just to meet the guy, I gar-un-tee you'll be transffering stuff through him and having him work an all your firearms. He's just THAT personable!

I am still out of it a bit. Kind of tired and a little sore. All of the incisions started bleeding a little. One soaked through my shirt. I have my wife change the drssings. They were small and she still almost passed out lol. I promised pics. So here they are.[:) They aren't in order really Top left is after it was removend and all cauterized Bottom left is just getting to the GB Top right was what I think is the start of the removal. Bottom right is the doc holding in his hand. There was some question if it needed to come out. The first surgeon didn't want to take it, but my regular doc wanted a second opinion so I saw another surgeon, and he said it should come out. After the proceedure they did tell me that it did need to come out. Which I think is evident by the scarring on the right side. I think? I still need to talk with him.

I forgot to mention. Flamethrower is such a stud that even though he was in pain/discomfort from his gallbladder this last week. He managed to work through it and load 4500 rounds of .223 for me, QC it, and pack it.

| It's 4am and I can't sleep. Partly due to all the stuff that happened yesterday, coupled with my wife snoring in my ear. Mostly becasue my mind is going a mile a minute. A lot of work related stuff. The usual I need to get this done, and that done. How can I improve this or that. Shop needs to be cleaned, etc. More importantly I forgot to say thank you to 40xb for taking me to the hospital. He took a whole day off of work. Drove an hour and a half from his house and back just to help me out, because nobody else could. Thank you very much sir. You are a good friend. |

Todd, you are one of the most selfless men on this board.
I for one owe you a lot. Just from the knowledge that you've shared, the shop time, and letting me use your equipment. I'm glad to hear everything turned out fine. I wish you a speedy recovery. God bless. |
