I thought maybe it was a Dodge. This. Saying "Dodge transmission" is like saying uh... "English cuisine", or "French Victory"...
Mine gave me the "thud of death" just three weeks ago. Minivan only had 80k miles on it. I don't want to denigrate the Holocaust here... but the words "Never Again" come to mind. |

We just got rid of our Grand Caravan with 94k miles, I thought it was living on borrowed time. One thing that sucks even worse on these are the brakes. It was difficult to ignore all those awesome deals offered by Chrysler dealers - I'm all done with mopar. |

What kind of transmission? So pissed I forgot to say. 2000 Impala 3.8 What is your driving style like? I know several 4T65-Es at the +150k mark with nothing but a fluid change, mine is at 83k. While not a great transmission, a stock 3.8 doesn't push it much. Sucks, maybe you just had some bad luck. |

Not sure if its the same tranny but I was never a fan of the way it felt. Seemed soft and slow shifting even new. |

I ended up with it because my folks gave her the Cherokee that I was going to buy from them. I was going to pay 8g cash for the truck but they thought she needed it, She felt bad so just gave me the car. that was 2yrs ago. I figured fine, Don't have to put miles on my truck and good on gas. After having the bullet hole fixed and some other minor body work done' I put on some nice bfg's. so with the minor engine repairs I did I'm into it for under $1500 Oh I don't drive like a granny but have in no way beat it. |
