[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pistol Range Madison

I will be in Madison this weekend and want to take a college guy shooting for his first time. I am looking for a quality indoor range within 30 minutes of the UW campus. Shooting .22 and 9mm. Any suggestions?

Only place i can think of is Deerfield Pistol and Archery Range, without a membership that is.

I have to agree the abve information, unless Stoughton relaxed its membership requirements, there are few options in the area.

might be too late to mention this - but the UW used to have their own range underneath the stadium.

it's been at least 10 years since I last shot there - so I don't have a clue if it's still open, but that may be an option in the future.

I was told that was now a UW police range only, but the person who told me could have been speaking from his anus.
