Is there anything you guys as ffl's like to see to try to prove it's not for a straw purchase? That's a tough one. I mean, what can we really require or ask you for that proves that you're not straw buying it for the guy who can't buy it? If we let you take it and you lie on the 4473, that's on you–– but I can easily see ATF frowning (or worse) in our direction if the 4473 buyer ends up handing it to the other guy and he gets caught with it. This is sort of interesting to me because I'm facing a similar issue. Any suggestions from the gallery?

Mike Let the FFL Holder hold on to it, how long untill it becomes his property? Also how was it paid for? |

Mike Let the FFL Holder hold on to it, how long untill it becomes his property? Also how was it paid for? I'm not even concerned with that. In my case, the guy who can't take possession paid for them. I don't want the stuff, but I do want them off of my books in a manner that won't bite me in the rump later. The longer they're here, the longer I'm responsible for them. Mike |

sell them to me at a reduced price I would maybe try to locate a buyer on your own so you can be sure he doesn't know the new buyer and take a cut of the sale, give the first buyer some of his money back. IANAL I thought about a GunBroker auction with the mandate that it goes out of state ONLY. Mike |
