The two off-duty firefighters (brothers Joel & John Rechlitz) who got the child out, the one trapped in the car seat, are the sons of a good friend of mine. Jim Rechlitz, who was also a firefighter - now retired, is a fishing/hunting guide in Eagle River, and lives a few miles away from me. He's a top-notch guy, so I'm not a bit surprised that his kids are too. Naturally he's proud of his sons, but he says "they just reacted like they were trained to do. There's no way anybody with that training would do anything but what they did".
