I have a lot of high end extra parts (mostly black gun stuff) I'd like to sell at the next gunshow (I arrive in WI in August). I do not want to itemize the items on the net = too much stuff to list and ass pain in shipping. This will be a one time thing to move stuff that I have dug up for my relocation to WI and for projects/builds that just will sadly never happen. You would not believe the stuff you find here and there in storage. Funny though looking at the receipts, some of this stuff was super cheap 6 years ago.

- What is the best venue (which gunshow) to sell the aforementioned the items?

- What is the contact info/table prices?

- Are there better venues, swap meets, gun table at flea markets, etc?

Thanks

+1.

Bob Pucci runs gun shows all around the state. Your best bet for selling black rifle stuff would probably be at one of the Waukesha shows. From what I hear, they have the biggest attendance. I've only been to his "up-north" shows in Antigo-Rhinelander-Eagle River. The up-north shows have good attendance, but there's a lot more "Fudds" who aren't into that stuff.

There is a decent market for black rifle stuff at the Bob&Rocco Waukesha Gun show. However the summer months are harder for attendance or so I am told by some of the vendors there.

I had a table at the last show selling parts and I will never do it again. The whole time I was there people just wanted to haggle, haggle, haggle and my prices were well below retail and what I paid for stuff. I dont mind haggling if I am over or really close to retail price, but when you are certainly under it is a pain.

I even had people try to drop cash on the table and take stuff and try to stiff me on prices for my stuff. I actually had to get physical with a guy who tried to drop $$$ on my table and walk off with a case of 5.56 ammo and he dropped $50 less than my asking price, which by the way was cheaper than anybody else there.

IMHO just sell it online with prices and shipping firm. Or sell it as one big lot to somebody who is willing to sell it or who could use it. It is definately not worth the hassle.

Oh and a table, if you can get one, costs $40 a day. Usually there are the same vendors in the same places everytime. There are probably 10-15 tables available out of 250 at any given time. I got one for one day because the usual guy who gets one was going to be out of town and sold it off to a friend of mine who then sold it to me.

Now don't get me wrong I like going even though I sound pretty negative about this last experience but I will never sell parts or accessories at a table again. Firearms, powders, primers, and ammo are pretty much ok and safe. It is easier to sell them online or go to the show walk around and sell them to vendors.

Another possible option.  You could list it here (FTF only) or IM a list to interested people in this forum.  Depending on where you will be in Wisconsin this could avoid the shipping.

I already have been reported by some users for selling too much here on the EE board that they requested I upgrade my bronze account ???

V,

Can you itemize the list of stuff and email it to those of us that may be interested?

It would take too long. I literally have a hundred+ new items; from Colt M4 extractor springs, Blackhawk commando recon vests, 5.11 boots to Knights Armament rail panels in differnt sizes. I want to NOT deal with that asspain of listing, photos and shipping.

I was even wondering of having an ARFCOM swap meet, if that would be feasible in my shop building near Green Lake. But I am sure the number of attendees would suck.

Unfortunately I am super busy again at work, but I would have offered to do the catologing picturing etc for a pre determined cut of the sales.

Maybe someone else would be interested in doing that?

I am a Republican, I could not pay someone for that service.

So if you were looking to sell black gun accessories on a couple of tables for a Saturday or Sunday only, which gunshow would you go to sell it, and which day?

Thanks

I'd do Fri/Sat Franklin or Waukesha.  Try to split a table or two with a freind, easier on the both of you.

I would suggest doing it as close to home as possible to save on gas.
I won't go farther than FDL from Oshberg anymore...It just isn't worth it.  I hear Waukesa is a good show but it's too costly to go down there.
I do the Oshkosh and FDL shows and it'll be hit or miss for certain items every time.  One show I sold every sling I had. The next show at the same place didn't sell a one.
A lot depends on how impressive your stuff makes you look and your pricing.  If you have decent stuff at a fair price and can talk the talk-you'll do alright.
Something new this year I'm going to try is $5, $10, $20, etc bins.  I've got a lot of AR "leftovers" too and they are a pain to individually mark a price on.
I've had a "Make an Offer" box out for awhile but people don't seem to understand what that means.  They'll pick something out of it and say "how much"???
Have some kind of game planned–– I had a box of moly coated sierra bullets for sale and we kept track of how many people would grab one or two, get their fingers dirty, then put them back––have fun with being there.
