My boss always has his dump trucks in the annual hometown parade. As we were staging up getting ready for the parade to begin, Assemblyman Tom Nelson who I believe is the majority leader as well, proceeds to walk up the road shaking hands. As he gets to me and fellow drivers that I work with he asks me how I am. I tell him I'm in angst over all the new taxes and fees he and his fellow lizards have come up with in the dead of the night in thier special weekend session. He then tells me he tried to stop that from happening. I tell him I just don't believe him. He gets real angry and stomps on down the street where he was trying to shake the bosses hand, and the boss snubs him and turns away as well.
I don't think he was well received by this little town of conservative folks who are struggling to hang on. These guys are being outed slow but sure. With all the information outlets available and the peoples wallets starting to flatten, I witnessed something I haven't seen in a good long while. Some backbone................. |
