Received many items from LaRue, had a small issue with
one, they next day shipped a replacement, with a prepaid shipping tag for return. These People and Product are the Best! |

I've called them to place an order... the guy on the phone talked me out of it and helped me find a product which fit me better elsewhere so I bought some other stuff from their website anyways now THAT is a sign of a first class company. qualities like that are few and far between. i have held off buying their products as im a cheap bastard and have yet to kit out any of my AR's, but when i do, i will be drinking the LA-RUE koolaide. |

Having learned the hard way to "cry once, buy once," I bit the bullet and bought one of their SPR QD scope mounts for my SPR. That thing is awesome, I'm a LaRue convert for sure. I'll certainly buy more of their stuff in the future (when warranted.)
All the cool toys they included with it were icing on the cake - I've been wearing my LaRue hat everywhere |

I'm told I like to lick Mark's sweaty armpits with my adoration of his products. Translation: Everything I've touched that was produced by LaRue was quality kit. Now the Burris FastFire they put on their AK Iron Dot? Not so much. Whats wrong with the fastfire? |

The review thread in the LaRue forum disappeared (between active and archive sites), so here's the copy/paste from GOTX: LaRue IronDot/FastFire review |

All, I'm told that there are some hidden upgrades now in the FastFires ... like better waterproofing. There have been a couple issues, but what optic hasn't. It's remains a cost-effective AK solution. And yes, there are items at a substantially higher price point that could replace it. We've shipped a metric sh*t-ton of 'em, with very few issues. And folks know how we are regarding the disposition of issues.

Heck, I bought a DVD from Mark and even by that experience I'd buy from Larue ANY day. In fact I'm considering getting a stealth upper or just a rail. Decisions, decisions... So hows the down economy Mark?

ML Mark, The newer version of the FF having better waterproofing is what I heard as well. Unfortunately what the FastFire needs is a constant-on, max brightness override switch, faster response on the autobrightness, and no pulsing in lowlight. I'd bet that he Pride-Fowler MRD (that doesn't have those issues) would be a better optic to fit in an AK IronDot, albeit at a slightly higher price. I doubt that higher price point would be an issue to your customers, as they are already sold on the notion that quality goods might cost a bit more than the knockoffs. ETA: Quoted:
