Ok...I currently live in Seymour but will be moving to Appleton at the end of the summer. I was wondering if I have a any chance in hell of getting the required CLEO signature needed for a suppresor, SBR, etc. Just curious if anyone here lives in the area and has any knowledge about whether or not I would be able to get the signature.
Also, if I eon't be able to get the signature what are my other options? Thanks, Ryan |

Go to the class 3 section in the armory and start reading all of the tacked topics on this subject. Then when you have questions again you will have a pretty good idea of what people are talking about when they answer you.I would suggest reading as much as you can on the subject.Basically read until you feel you understand how everything works.
What exactly is a trust? Can I go one with just myself? Anything special I need to know to set one up or someone in the area to talk to about it? Appreciate the help so far! |

If your CLEO will not sign it go to your county sheriff. If he won’t go to the State Patrol, the law says he has to sign and you can sue him if he doesn’t. when presented with this info I have never had a CLEO say no. Interesting. Got a cite? Haven't heard this before. |

I wouldn't threaten my CLEO with a lawsuit over not signing... I'd like to see the statute that states he HAS to sign off. |

I don't believe that's accurate. (Feel free to prove me wrong.) Glenn, I believe you're correct they do not need to sign off. Also, I don't believe the WSP can sign off on a form, though the DA can. |
