I recently heard about a drive to recall Gov. Doyle, and was looking for some info.
I am interested in when, where, how to get ijnvolved, how to join the petition and the like. The only info I can find, however, is several articles that essentially say "It is a waste of time and money, don't bother, it is all a waste of time." Does anybody know anything different? |

Nytmayr,
There is absolutely a viable effort underway to recall Jim Doyle....we filed form EB-1 last week Tuesday.....we already have 400 volunteers.....got to www.recalldoyle.com to volunteer and please pass the word on. Don't believe the naysayers like Sykes et. al. Thanks! Dick Radosevich |

(Although I had found it myself just a few days ago) As for it being a waste of time and effort, I don't see how it can be considered a waste of time and effort. What needs to happen, and a recall effortis a good sign of it, is that we need to show ALL the politicians EVERYWHERE, that the pocketbooks of the citizens of the United States is not the piggybank of the politicians, nor is it a limitless source of money. After Doyle increased the budget last time by the largest amount ever, we now have a $5 BILLION dollar budget deficit, and he plans to increase the budget this year and spend even more. Plus he wants a lightrail line between Madison and Milwaukee, and between Milwaukee and Chicago, along with making I-94 to Chicago 8 lanes wide. Do we really need that, and if we already have a deficit, just where is all that money going to come from? (Other than in increased taxes?) I know of quite a few people who are talking about leaving Wisconsin because of taxes being so ridiculous, and some of them are talking about closing their business and leaving. When it gets to that point, it isn't a good sign. |
