How long does it take to get the permit after you've sent for it?
They charged my debit card on 12/17/2008 for the background check and everything so I know they have it. I'm just excited about the idea of getting it because I'm going to be going to the wife's family's house in IN where I can carry. |

Check here http://www.bdj-ltd.com/classes.htm Took mine wiht BDJ-LTD great class husband and wife teach it great interaction with the class and can do fingerprinting and other parts needed on the spot like passport photos. They charge extra for the service but if you don't have access to fingerprinting probably worth it. I had my fingerprints done at work though so... |

Well 56 days from the time my debit card was charged would be Feb. 10th. I can't wait for it. Oh and I took the class from Mike Bender as well. He was a wonderful teacher and his wife seemed like a very nice woman. I took advantage of the picture and finger printing from them. It just made it easier to have everything taken care of the same time. |

Personally I am getting the Florida permit as Utah non resident is not accepted by Florida. Florida's may cost more but I go to Florida alot more than I go to Utah. It's all about finding out which one is best for you and if you go to Florida then that is definitly the one you want to get. I have the paperwork for the Florida one now so I need to send that off to get that permit as well. |

I had to send in paperwork showing I was trained by an instructor aproved by Utah. For Florida I had to have the teacher fill out other paperwork stating everything that he taught in the class. If I was you I would contact whoever did your Utah permit to see if they can do this for you. If you took the PPA class I know he'll do it for you as that's who I went through. |
