this article is annoying me in some ways and in others giving me a little hope for the citizen's rights to carry.

I talked with Van today he told the reporter that all legal law abiding citizens should be able to carry a firearm that was edited Figures. Van is very pro gun and has introduced legislation on the Racine county board in support of ccw.

We will never have CCW as long as Doyle is in office unless the perfect CCW case goes before the Wisconsin Supreme Court I think if we could get good caselaw on OC we could force his hand with OC marches and widespread use of OC and go the Ohio route, The problem is getting good caselaw on OC, The way I see it their are 3 major roadblocks...... 1) Getting arrested (the easiest one) 2) finding a DA who will prosocute and not just drop the charges (Signifigantly harder) 3) Paying for it ( Any voulenteers? My ass is unemployed but I would be able to come up with about $50, Anyone know a good 2A lawyer that feels like doing some pro bono (or almost pro bono) stuff? |

This is what was suprising. Racine County Board was one of the first to take an official stance that it was for CCW. Back I think it was the first time around, when they were going to let sheriff's "opt out" of issuing permits, our sheriff piped up about doing just that. The county board basically told him if the bill passed he'd issue them and like it. |
