Now he wants his unconditional release because he says the Packers don't want him back. He never said he wanted to come back and claimed the reports were rumors. So what do ya think, is he a Tool or not. I say Tool

Hey- we all know what it's like to relish our glory days. If he isn't ready to quit and still has what it takes let him play. My in-laws are in WI but I'd never have an opportunity to see him play there. Maybe he can come play for the panthers and I'll get a chance to see him play. PLEASE NOTE- I'm really not a football fan unless it's the Packers. I do like to see Favre play though. ETA- could someone pass the Old Style please |
Panthers are one of the possible teams he'd play for. I guess he wants to be closer to home. I'd love to see him come back and play in GB, Rogers is to much of a risk, he gets injured to easily. At the same time though, I'd like to see the kid from L'Ville get a shot. I'm kinda ready to move on from BF as the GB QB. |
Nothing against or directed at you at all. Except for the first paragraph. The glory days are over. He already quit. If I quit my job and goback 6 months later after they hire someone to take my place. Should I get my job back if I am old and mostly washed up? NO! I should not get it back because I QUIT, and the position is filled. What nobody is looking at is Rogers. What about him? Everyone is so googoo eyed at Favre that nobody gives a shit about the guy that has a chance to make something for himself. Screw Rogers if we can get Favre back, Right!? Favre was green once too. People need to get a grip and figure out that Favre is not the God of football. I am not saying he WAS not a great player, but he is not the only one. A lot of people want to think that Favre is all about the Packers. Wrong! Do you think he tried to set all of the records for the good ole Pack? NOT! him and his ego needs to move along and go back to hillbillyville and get on with life. |
lolololol I've been listening to Packer nuts repeat that since the last SB they were at. |
|
Don't hold back Flamethrower.... Favre may not be the God of football but he is certainly a lesser deity. If he wants to play the Pack can trade him. The team has spent months moving ahead with a new team and new quarterback and should not reverse everything to get Favre back. |
I think you completely misunderstood me- When I said let him play if he has what it takes I mean let him play regardless of the team- that's why I said I'd like to see him come play down here. I'm never advocated that Green Bay revamp their program just for him. Once again what I meant was to let him play on whatever team would have him. |
Ok I understand a bit better. It is just kinda one of those things with me. The rant was not directed at you. It is just my general distaste for pampered cry babies with millions that get special treatment all the time, because the Joe American feels the need to put Athletes in a pedestal all the time, and treat them as if their shit does not stink. |
We can certainly agree on that. These guys make too much money to do the bitching and moaning that a lot of them do. |

I believe that Brett has certainly earned the money he has made/will make, and he most certainly can still do things that most other QB's shouldn't even try. (Sometimes that includes him too) With all that being said, what I loathe about this whole thing is that EVRYONE wants to have their 15 minutes of fame by commenting about what is so far only a rumour. (At least as far as I have heard) Everyone in the media is just about going crazy over this, and trying to hype this into something it isn't. They are trying to manufacture a story where there might not be one. Let it go, and if there is anything to report, then report it. As for the rest, we will just have to wait and see what happens. |

I've always been a Favre fan. But now he is making me sick. He's acting like a drama queen little girl that has to have all of the attention. It's too bad that he will ruin his legacy. He probably could still play as well as most qbs for a couple of years but he screwed himself and many others playing these head games! As much as I hate to say it, he needs to go away. |
|
Favre wants to play, but I don't think he wants to play in Green Bay. He doesn't have the guts to say it. After all, he has come out in the past against guys not honoring their contracts......... He's not the QB is used to be. Peyton outplayed him in the Championship game. He can't take the cold anymore, and his play goes to hell in the post season. Love Brett, there hasn't been a guy as exciting to watch in a long long time. But that Brett Favre is gone. It's time for A-Rod to show what he can do. Best thing that could happen is to let Brett come back as the veteran backup we need in case A-Rod gets hurt. If he is unhappy with that, shop him for a trade. Jason Taylor and a 1st rounder anyone? |

you guys REALLY think that the Pack will have a better season with Rogers throwing??? I don't think so..... The Packers organization are the goof balls.....IF he never announced his retirement, would there be a ??? over who the starting QB would be?? Get rid of Farve?!....What happens when A Rodgers gets hurt....and chances are he will. Go with your best chances to win. That would be Favre starting and A Rod 2nd QB. forget about attitudes and he said , he said...Win baby, just win!! |
