Hey dudes, I know someone has what I'm looking for.... I killed a 6-Ton press trying to squeeze my rear trunion rivetes on a Russan side folder. I have them semi smushed, I just need to get them finished. Dose anyone have some thing to press theese hard core rivetes? I saw a modified C-clamp used????? Will that modified cable cutter work? I was at Bigjers AK build party last year and I know a Steve guy has one... I'm a "Club" Has Thanks garan35 |

i dont have access to a press, but im curious about how crushed rivets with a press compare to those done with a hammer... i have a punch shaped like a rivet head(drilled it out) and it works OK... if there is better, i am all ears  good luck with your search for a press |

well I havent seen the hammer method and I dont really understand how it would work. But I do know that I did get a C-clamp and modified it ...It worked on the 2 easy to get to rivetes but I'm having trouble with the lower 2. im hoping someone has the modified cutter crimp. please anyone local IM me, thank you. |
