Anyone here know of a good 1911 smith here in the state? Looking at replacing the factory sights with Yost retro rear and dovetail front, both safeties, trigger work and either rebluing or Duracoat. I have a NM Springfield to work with. Thanks guys, Bob |
| I don't know about here in WI...but Chuck Rogers is an amazing 1911 pistol smith, he goes by the name pistolwretch here on arfcom. He did one of my buddy's 1911s and the thing is very nice...he does a nice custom golf ball type of checkering on the front and back straps too...the guy is amazing. |
yeah he is but his website states he doesnt want to take on time consuming jobs due his long back log. |
