[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Going back home

I'm headed out to Platteville tomorrow, I'm coming home just for a couple of days to close out my Dad's apartment. He unfortunatetly is moving into a Nursing Home.

After my Mother passed in Febuary he just couldn't make it alone.

I really wish he would move down to VA with me but, he won't. He's lived in WI all of his life.

I'm driving up and then turning around and driving back on Tuesday so I won't even have time to catch up with any old friends still around the area.

Any ARFCOMERS live in the area?

If so I'll wave as I pass by! Just throw me a Brat and some beer!

Sorry to hear about your Mom and Dad. I went to school in P-ville and I still have friends there. Nice area, esp. if you like rural (I liked it). Enjoy the drive, you can wave to the cows

I go to school at UWP. Sure got that right about the cows. That's pretty much all we have here. Oh, except for the "M." Can't miss that! Enjoy your visit.

Do people still climb to the top of the "M" and get toasted up there?

I remember rolling down that hill once or twice when I was a young man.
