Anyone want to get together for some shooting over Thanksgiving weekend? I finally have the new evil black rifle sorted out, and it needs to be sighted in. Either Bristol or 7 Mile (can public go there) would be good. |
Just a note: 7 mile is not open to the public, it's a private club. (I'm trying to join. ) 7 mile does run a 'deer rifle site in' for the public, but I think that is over now. Bristol is a nice, clean place, but has a 'single load' rule for centerfire rifles. I'd like to hook up and shoot some myself, but this weekend is going to be busy for me. I might be able to show up, but it's going to be last minute. |
Diddn't see any mention of going as a guest of Batch (posted, that is). Not sure what the guest policy is yet, but I think you have to come as an invited guest of a member (no public walk ons). I should be finding out more in the near future. And, of course, I understand if Batch can only bring so many guests at one time. Have fun in any case.  |
| 7 mile is a memebers only club, and each member is only allowed to bring one guest per visit ....under special circumstances this can be extened to a few at a time. There is no trial period, a member can take you and if you like it the can sponser you as an associate member at which time you will pay your dues and get a key to the range. You also have to do 100 hours of work at the range withing the first 3 years. It is a class III friendly range as well, however at this time no .50 bmg's are allowed. |
nope. Dark doesn't matter Oh and I'll bring the bata mag too. Anyone got any extra .223 they could bring with that I could buy from them?? I only two loaded 20rd mags as i'm out of .223. I know I know how could I let the stock get so low... |

1500 looks fine for me. It will give me some time to sleep. I will check the board tomorrow night to see where everyone is going to meet. I know only a few of have keys, we will need to meet up with the other guys somewhere and at what time? MG Brian might be there too. Ill bring some stuff too. Maybe a beta mag dump in the MP5.... It's on 6 mile road. Take 31 to 6mile and turn left. It's the second building from the corner. Like I said I won't be meeting up there though, I won;t get out to the range till like 1530ish if I'm lucky. So ya'll will be in nd shooting by than. |

I'm fine w/ meeting at: Shooters Sports Center 4900 6 Mile Road Racine, WI (for El_Roto) BTW- Shooters has .223 ammo available, it probably isn't as cheap as most places, but it is ammo. They open at 11:00am on Sunday. I might have to stop somewhere too, I only have like 150 rounds.... Just left me know what time si good for the people w/ keys. Might be best if we exchange cell numbers... I'll IM some people with my number.... |

I've swapped #'s with Meg. They also have Bushy 30rnd mags for $20 there, and the SA80 ones for $17. Roto, you've got an address on Shooter's, how about a 1430 meeting? Same for Meg. I'm not exactly sure when Batch will show, but he's got a key. I'll have the ex-trooper car. Dress like you're going to be outside all day. |
I got some mags, your gunna want to try themou first though. My guns don't like them anymore, but they could work fine in you gun. I'll bring them with. |
Wouldn't count on it. Last time I was inthere they had two boxes of 55gr soft point let. I know because I bought them. they usually have 55gr FMJ and SP in 100 round bags for like $20 but they haven't had any of that in a while. Last time I was in was like three weeks ago now. So they may have gottem more .223 in , but don't hold yer breath. |

Nice meeting with you guys, and shooting with you. I got my AR scoped in pretty good before the sun went down. Nice to see some other AR's, and other AR options ---> I don't think my pocketbook likes it though... Looking forward to doing that again. only crappy part of day was those 2 missing AR mags.... errrr... -Jason |

Hands down the nicest range upon which I've ever stepped foot and I finally got my Colt sighted in (after I got my girdle set to the right size  ). What can possibly be worse than having a brand-new rifle and not being able to take it somewhere to shoot because you don't know where the bullets are gonna go?  heh hehDinner was good, too. That might be pushing it. They now have you watch this little video and than do a safety walk around the facility. This one could probably run to 1pm. It all depends on what all is being discussed. I know I'm going to be trying to get the Ok for a DE carbine 1/2 class so thats one extra thing..... If you can't do it this time there is always the next meeting. |
