While I fully support this to protect the guys in blue on the side of the road, anyone else seeing this?
When LE has a car stopped on the side of the road, traffic almost comes to a crash ending stop as people try to move over. People don't want to let them in and I can hear brakes slamming on.... |

My issue on 25 is the number of lanes blocked. I see plenty of fender benders now with 2-3 lanes blocked off. I can see blocking the lane adjacent to the shoulder, but a lot of the time it just seems ridiculous.
I guess if I was a cop I'd point out that my extra time in traffic really doesn't matter relative to them not getting hit by a car. |
| Drivers here are as bad as I've ever seen. Pulling over on the left side shoulder that's the size of a bike lane? People forcing themselves into intersections on green yields in high traffic, knowing they will have to complete their turn on a red light? Using the slow lane to pass and driving slow in the fast lane, list goes on. Bu People here drive like they are possessed!?!? |

I blame poor city planning and outdated undersized roads combined with fucked up stop light times. They have been decreasing the yellow light time shorter all the time. |

the law is move over or slow down this seems reasonable too bad everyone causes yet more accidents I don't move over for revenue generators, nothing emergency about that. |

I have almost been schmucked several times while making traffic stops, so I move way over and/or run some interference (slowing my lane down) for the cop, if possible. That said, after almost dying a couple times on traffic stops, I determined that a ticket for a stupid infraction was not worth my life. If the traffic was crazy and I couldn't get the violator to pull off into a parking lot or other safer area, I wouldn't bother. I always liked going home to my family at the end of the shift. When I stopped being a traffic nazi (after my rookie year), I actually discovered that there were other, more serious crimes afoot. Like meth labs, and people being ugly to each other. |
