| Anyone have any thoughts on the candidates in the US Senate Primary? I'm relatively new to the area so not very knowledgeable in local/state politics. |

I'm about to read this, but thought I'd post it first.

I found this reference for Blaha on a local Colorado site.
"As these numbers show, the American people care a lot about the Second Amendment and their gun rights. That’s what the anti-gun activists miss: This singular constitutional right is in the end about equality." Blaha for Colorado |

Apparently Ted Cruz has endorsed Darryl Glenn http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/ted-cruz-endorses-colorado-primary-224482 |

If you have the time, I'd read the link uncle_big_green posted above. It has responses from all of the candidates to help weigh their positions.
There seems to be a decent amount of commonality (as you would expect) along with a couple solid responses and a couple deal breakers for me. I am going back and forth between two candidates and will have to make up my mind since I'll drop off my ballot tonight. Quoted:

I also checked out a number of news articles to get a feel of who's got a shot, and any other background info.
This article on The Hill had some interesting info. http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/284865-colorado-gop-senate-race-to-unseat-dem-incumbent-is-wide-open That article leans toward Glenn and Graham being the likely candidates. I liked Glenn on my first read-through of responses, so he made it to the short list. Liked some of Keyser's responses, and former service. I also add inBlaha due to some commercials that are playing around here, looks very pro-2A. It may seem silly, but on some questions I watched the stance and position carefully- like the being forced to bake a cake one. As a your business, your rules and let-the-market-decide kind of person, I didn't like Graham's answer on that. Others were a less definitive on some questions and that was something I considered. I'll have to make up my mind soon, but I am reading up on Glenn some more. |

Graham is out for me due to his answer which advocates forced interference in the voluntary exchanges of goods and services between individuals (the cake issue).
ETA: I'm leaning towards Blaha based on the questionnaire. I could also vote for Frazier or Glenn. Keyser sounds a little GOPe - just a little. I'll vote for any one of them in the general. |
