any of you guys know of a shop that carries U.S. Optics scopes in the metro area and maybe Ft Collins or springs.. all the places I have been to not only don't have them
they have never herd of the company and that goes for some of the "tactial" stores as well. im looking to put an ST-10 on my new
.308 bolt gun and I want to have one in my hand to check it out before I drop a lot of coin on one.

Easiest way to know is call around. Save you the drive time & headache of explaining what kind of scope you want.

without starting a scope uproar, why are you looking at the USO scopes?

Jensen Arms in Loveland

USA Liberty Arms in FT Collins

Bear Arms in Windsor

Mile High Shooting in Erie

US Optics are a build to order type scope, so you rarely see them in stores.  I have a 3-17x on my 260 build.

they used to have a few runs of common combinations sent to their distributes. but since their quality control has tanked, i believe they stopped that

I am curious as well. I have nothing agents USO but I do feel like there are some other damn fine scopes out there for way less money.

If that is what you want then go for it but if you have not had a chance to sit down behind some other options then I would take the time to look around.

The Fly's rife is the only USO scope I have had the chance to use and I will say it is a damn fine piece of glass but for MY experience level and MY eye I was very satisfied by the Vortex.

Go over onto the snipers hide forum and check out the "why no love for USO" thread. Very good info

I have the new HD2 from vortex as well.   It is fantastic.  It's rare that a scope only has its love of gravity as a downside, but she is heavy.

It so heavy I had to stop being such a pussy.

yha I saw that thread but one of the guys was bang on USO because its  a cali "commie" company... I couldent care about that..
there was a couple guys that commented positively on the ST-10 though and oh by the way did you see the thread over there at SH on the vortex
scopes!! this guy sold his S&B for one!!!!! read here http://snipershide.scout.com/forums/5511-rifle-scopes/13728750-sold-my-s-b-and-bought-a-vortex?s=541
good review!!! and states why he went to vortex!!!!  I also went to sniper central and found a few write-ups seemed ok also there is less of the "hot head" types
on SC than there is on SH   just an observation though

I don't care about the commie shit either . My rifle was made in Cali . I read through most of the vortex threads over there because rob01. He's the mod in our precision section here and over on the hide, and he happens to live 10 minutes from me. We got to talking about scopes and he offered for me to look through his vortex razor gen 1 and gen 2. He competes so I had to trust his word. So from that day on I was sold on the vortex and haven't looked back. It's the most afordable  package at that level it seems .

It's a monster scope though

Wow very nice gun!! Vortex is giving the "big name" scope companys a run for the money
4/4/2015 7:13:02 AM EDT

The st-10 is good I think . But for the same money you can get a variable vortex

I got the scope last week and wow the glass is clear!!!it seems just a little clearer than my night force..im taking my night force off and sending  it it back to have the turrets changed to
mil.. im thinking about getting badger rings you ever used them? they are cheaper than the US Optics
rings

We used to sell a lot of the badger ring sets at the gunshop I was working at.

I always thought they were a little bit over engineered myself, but I wasn't using it in Afghanistan or Iraq or some other hell hole.

Nice thing about rings like Badgers, you know the scope is NEVER going to shift, lose zero, etc.  Now, if you wanna see some overbuilt rings... take a look at this

I have a SN3 3.2-17x I want to sell (MDMOA reticle iirc).  Bought it a few years ago in a group buy and it's never been mounted.  Shoot me a pm if that interests you.
