I think it's time for me to get my permit. In the past, If I ever needed to carry, I've been outdoors so I just open carried. However, the shooting today in Canada got me thinking and (among all the other situations lately) I think its time.
can someone recommend a place/instructor in Windsor, Greeley, Ft. Collins or Loveland ? Thanks |

legal heat does a class in sportsman warehouse. It's a sit down and listen to them, no shooting class. Is there better, yes.

Good to see so many instructors up here. I went down to Denver for my first class and will check out a local (Northern Colorado) when it's time for my next renewal. You're not required to take a class for renewal, UNLESS your permit expired. Some folks don't look at the expiration date. I didn't, for 5 years. |

Denver has been making students present training at 10 year intervals. The law does not specify your old permit is good enough as proof. |

In my class, I was told I needed to take one every 10 years, so I'd get two renewals and then take another class. They may have assumed everyone was a Denver resident (with information based on Wulf202's reply). I checked the Larmier County Sheriff's website, and: Q: Do I need to take another firearms training class each time I renew? |
