It won't pass. It won't hold-up in court. More importantly, it won't get the unaffiliated women vote (not to mention a chunk of R women won't like it). Agree or disagree with it, but it's going nowhere at the cost of votes in an important election year. Bad idea. Them is the facts. Flame suit is on.

they don't call it the stupid party for nothing. I'm guessing that at least most of the sponsors have safe seats. However, they're not helping to change the balance of power. Stupid idea. While it's right and just morally, but it's further going to estrange the GOP from voters |

You have to wonder sometimes if they're in bed with the Ds or if they're just another flavor of stupid. I'm going with stupid. Quoted:

When is the GOP gonna figure out they need to stay out of our wallets, our crotches and our bedrooms? You have to wonder sometimes if they're in bed with the Ds or if they're just another flavor of stupid. I'm going with stupid. You take "stupid", I'll take "collusion". We'll catch them in a pincer. Seriously, though, you cannot consistently make terrible mistakes at the worst possible time - profiting your supposed enemy while confounding your allies and supporters - without it smacking of throwing the fight. And after watching them try to scuttle the initial recalls? We are being betrayed, ladies and gentlemen. Contact your representatives and senators and let them know you know and that there is a price for such action. |
| I almost didn't want to start this thread and am glad that it didn't turn into a discussion on the "A" word (let's keep it that way, please). It's about political reality and the fact that these sh!theads are trying to keep the greater of the 2 evils party in power. I expect them to go full retard on something else by the end of the month, too. Maybe one of them will try to force prayer in government schools or ban tattoos next. I shouldn't be giving them any ideas. |

they don't call it the stupid party for nothing. Who calls it the stupid party? Regulars at DU? Lots of people who don't go to DU. As one of my coworkers (hardcore R) says, no one is better at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory than the CO republican party. |

The Republican Party is attempting to kill itself in Colorado within the next decade - mark my words. I work with a LOT of middle of the road types (politically speaking), and EVERY time the CO repubs talk about the "A" issue, they ALL get turned off, and vote Dem. If the CO repubs would just shut their mouths, or even better, annouce that "we're leaving this issue alone", they'd pick up quite a few votes. |

That's why I've been telling some of the R politicians and candidates to downplay the term "conservative" and use words like "pro-freedom" and "pro-individual rights" (and live up to them) when pushing their platforms. Of course, they're not really listening and the Ds are going to stay in power as a result. The unaffiliated, the libertarian-leaning, and "middle of the road" types tend to think of Rick Santorum when they hear the C word. I'll take "collusion" for $1.05, Keith. |

Both here and on the national level. Oh well, I am just glad to be in before the chess not checkers crowd. |
