Not only the amount of people... the prices were insane. I knew that going in but wanted to see it.

Bare bones, plain Jane DPMS $2500

the layout (floorplan) for Tanner is a mess to begin with, it must have been a madhouse

I'm in the Springs and our next show is in 2 weeks, wonder if the panic will slow a little bit by then.  Probably not

.Gov will be in session then, once a dem opens their mouth about SENSIBLE Gun Laws, all hell is going to break loose.  Remember Biden is forming a panel of people to talk about gun laws. The panel includes every anti gun faction and has already dis-invited the NRA. You tell me how much it will settle down.

I just back ordered 50 more pmags from brownells with that exact thought in mind.  I hate the panic, but I might as well profit from it.

Were things actually selling at these prices? Only reason I'm asking is because I went to the Castle Rock show two weekends ago, and one of the vendors had a huge table full of ARs, at least 20-25 of them. They were all priced at at least $2600 each, but no one seemed to be buying. I'll admit I didn't hang around for too long, it was too crowded and weird feeling, but I'm just saying they weren't flying off the shelves at those prices anyway.

I think I'll probably hit up the Springs show as well, just to hang out and watch the crowds again. Might take one of my ARs and see how much I can get out of it just for shits and giggles. Anyone know how long the background check is taking these last few days?

Are you saying your background check went through in a day, from Saturday morning to Sunday morning? Because I was literally just up at my local Big R, and the guy at the gun counter checked his computer and told me the que was up to 13,000 today, and that makes for a 7-8 day wait.

Yes that is what i said. It is the FFL's choice if they want to call in for approval.
They have restrictions for doing so. The main one is No more than 10 bg checks and only 1 call per day.  Big R is well, BIG as with any store front FFL / LGS. R&S is a mom & pop home based business. She called me last night and said i was GTG. Impressed with the cs i asked how long the wait was? 2 1/2 hours she was on the phone!  You try and have an employee do nothing but wait on the phone for 2.5 hrs, that's counter productive. Which is why Big R and store front FFL's are doing them electronically. Now the other gun i purchased last week, that's still in queue. So life has it's pluses & minuses. The one rifle does not offset the 3-4 firearms i have been waiting for.

You do realize it's possible a 10 day waiting period will be instituted by the dems come Jan. We as gun owners VOLUNTARILY imposed the 5-7 day wait now without any interference from .gov. Thus leaving us no room to bitch once the CO legislature imposes it's anti gun will on us.

Interesting, I did not know you could just call it in and stay on hold. And yes, the Californians are ruining Colorado I'm about ready to move my ass back to Wyoming

I saw a lot of people with cases of the $800 ammo and a few people buying up magazines. More ammo and AR's going out the door than I would have expected.

On a positive note. Blue Core shooting Shooting Center did not raise their prices a single penny on their magazines and accessories. I was shocked that they still had some stuff in stock when I was there over the weekend but I'm sure they are cleaned out now.

I was working a table for part of Sat am....

Here's what I saw when you could walk around....

   Fed XM193 1000cs = 500.00
Mags = not to beat GI 30's ( green follower) 25.00 an up. P-mags 40.00 and up...  alot of walkins selling them ,double feed AR "snail drum" 350.00
New AR's did look like a big raise in prices   Not to many AK's ( ie...Yugo M70 full stock...850.00 )
   Not alot of AK ammo.
Plenty of HG's and HG mags....
