| It is about time, I finally am able to get my CO CCW permit. I have my UT permit and also went through some additional training when I lived there. All I am looking for is a basic class to get my certificate. Who do you guys recommend? I live in Broomfield but I am willing to travel a little bit. I also have two other people that are interested in taking the class with me. Thanks! |

I highly recommend the guys at tall guns in Loveland. They are the most professional I've seen, with lots of different modules that you can choose depending on your level of experience and for the basic class they are cheap! Plus their simulator is just cool! OP: Not sure you even need a class if you have a current UT permit. You should check with your county Sheriff's Office |

no one to add (guy I used not longer does it) but I recommended the cheapest & shortest (i.e. no live fire required).
Make sure you verify they are registered with the state/local.....apparently they started cracking down. I have to retake a class soon since I moved counties & I set to expire...dumb rules |

You should check with your county Sheriff's Office Colorado recognizes UT permit, but I would still have to be a resident of UT. Ritter changed this in 2007. |

Regardless of the UT permit, if his training is (I believe) within 10 years and it's an approved course/instructor/organization than he should be GTG to use that training class as training for his Colorado permit. I had an out of state class certificate from an NRA instructor that was about seven or eight years old when I moved here and used that. Also if he is a new resident of CO and has a state-issued ID (Drivers License, etc) with his picture on it that is dated within 90 days, he can carry here on his Utah permit. |
