Driving home from TDK class today, an engine came flying past us. As we got closer to home, my daughter noticed a plume of black smoke in the air and asked me to follow the truck. "Follow it dad, drive faster!!!!".... I gave her the "Stay out of the way, let them do their job, no rubber-necking" speech, and continued on. By the time we entered our hood, the smoke plume was gone and we were trying to guess what had been burning.
As we rounded the corner to our street the lingering smoke and smell were still pretty thick. Turns out not 300 feet from our cul-de-sac was the burnt out shell of a Ford Bronco II.
"I told you to drive faster Dad....we missed the cool part."
