He said he had gone to Shotgun Willies Show Club for evening dinner, and left there about 2 a.m. He said he activated the red light and siren on his Jeep "for fun" as he drove south on Colorado Boulevard after leaving the club. He said his employer had not given him permission to take the machine gun from the store. He said he had taken the gun with him on his jaunt to Shotgun Willies so he could "play" with it, according to the search warrant affidavit. Play stupid games... |

wonder what COHTF forum member we will be missing Just checking in! You have to be really stupid to do anything dumb on Colorado Blvd anywhere near Glendale. He was asking for it. Probably wasn't hard to spot at 2:00AM. And I say fine him an extra $250k for the Taurus Judge

| "Gunzner faces two counts of possession of a machine gun, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000." I'm assuming fully auto, or is this because of the Denver ban? I dont see how just possessing the rifles is anywhere against the law? |

I'm not sure if you guys have shopped at Prairie Arms before, but I'm a fan of the guys there. I've seen some negative reviews online, but for the most part I've found everyone there to be super friendly and helpful. Although I don't know Andrew personally, he sold me my first gun, a Springfield XD(m). He seemed nice enough, although I suppose he had a touch of the gun-store snobbery that you see from time to time.
Having said all that, I find this entire situation amusing in a sort of tragic way. Prairie Arms obviously deals Class 3 weapons and one day I got into a discussion about full auto weapons with Andrew at the store. He was very adamant that non-LEO could not own full auto weapons. He went on to explain to me that it is a 10 year jail sentence and a hefty fine if you did. Yes I know this isn't accurate, but I didn't really feel like being the asshole customer who had to dispute everything he said. Anyway, he was obviously aware of the consequences. I'm blown away that he'd take an MP5 to a strip club, drink, then leave with flashing lights and a siren. Unbelievably stupid. |

And they did find other weird shit in his Jeep. |
