I was getting ready to cut the grass today got the weed-wacker out and just as I was about to start trimming I saw this grey stone in the grass. I touched it with the weed-wacker and it was soft. Then I bent down and saw 2 beady eyes looking up at me. I don't live close to any water areas. I think the nearest stream is about a half mile away. When I told my wife about the frog she mentioned the neighbor said about 2 weeks ago that frogs would be coming out. I just curious if anyone has heard of that and what type of frog/toad is he/she? (didn't look between the legs... ) I put him in a little container and took him to the nearest stream and released him there.  And in before all the "dibs on your guns" and "it's a chupacabra" statements |

Growing up my buddy and I used to catch them in a low area that would fill up with water when it rained. fogs and toads and the occasional salamander. we would probably catch 30-40 in a night easy! |
