does anybody know whats up with 5280? its been closed for a week for inventory?!?!? not taking phone calls either. I need 6.8 ammo/mags fix

The new promoter has grown the show and uses the entir eroom and wante dto be paid for the space that was being taken up by the trailer since he could sell it to other vendors. 5280 seems to have not liked that since they had been getting a freebie for so long. Personally they did nto have tht great of prices. The people that workled for them were pretty snarly. Matt was alawys snally. I am betting the do not reopen. |

I agree there...it was fun to walk into their trailer and stare at everything they had, but the prices were nothing too exciting...GSG-5s for $575 back when they were still going for $499, etc... |

Oh well, no loss on my part.
I tried that place a few times and everytime I couldn't wait to leave. I even brought a potential future gun owner in there once (we were in the neighborhood on business) to show him some handguns and he got so much flak for asking "newb" questions that we just left. Off to Green Mountain guns or Jensens....

Green Mountain Guns made me go through a background check when I picked up my Luger I had on consignment even though I had a valid Curio FFL. On 5280, I never liked the way the store was set up, I did like checking out their stuff at Tanner however. Maybe they are moving? Some nice, cheap storefronts with enough parking have to be available in this economy. |

Hell, most everyone that has posted in this thread sighted some issues with them. Personally, I'm a guy who walks into a gunstore with $100 bills ready to buy and yet I have never bought shit in 5280. I have wanted to but always find myself driving to Loveland becuase I just can't stand these guys. So if another dealer wants to point out the obvious then why not... Of coures YMMV.
