If you don't mind a drive, come down to Colorado Springs and visit Dragonman (Mel Bernstein), he has a great military museum, as well as a ton of other stuff. If he's not too busy, he'll be proud to show off his collection. LOL He might sell ya a gun or motorcycle engine, too. Dragonman's |

Welcome fellow Yankee. Gander Mountain in Aurora is right off the highway, chain store but they claim 1500 guns in stock and on display. I doubt that claim but there is a ton. Very close to Englewood. http://gander.distanthorizon.com/storelocator/storedetail.asp_Q_store_id_E_101 5280 Armory in Arvada opens at 10am on Fridays http://www.ak-47man.com/home.html A trip from Englewood but you are heading up there anyway. Sportsmans warehouse on 84th and I-25 another chain. http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/store.cfm?storeNum=119 Jensen Arms in Loveland A trip but worth it. As a treat for you the owner and his sister are from Long Island.. you'll know it when you hear it.http://www.jensenarms.com/ Those are about the ones worth making a trip to. There are lots of others but inventories are much smaller and lots less to look at. |
There is a Sportmans in Aurora as well. Just north of Alameda between about Abilene and Crystal. This is north of the Gander about 12 blocks. Hit the Sportsmans before you hit the Gander. Edit: Oh duh...hit the Bass Pro Shop. Take I-70 east from Denver...can't think of the cross...maybe Quebec...it will be on the north side of the Freeway...can't miss it. Some very cool guns and in their Custom shop there are some exquisite firearms...some are like 20K. |
