I went to CostCo today. I carried a S&W 640 in a pocket holster and a speed strip in the other pocket. I spent about $200 on groceries. I then had a hot dog before I left. They did not try to touch me. They did not try to touch my firearm. I did not take an adrenaline dump. I did not blade at 45. I also did not disengage. The guy checking receipts at the door did not threaten me with arrest. Oops. Why does the cool stuff never happen to me? |

But even concealed, something should have happened! I mean, apart from when I was a cop, I've never even drawn down. And even then, it only happened when I was on the clock and not very often. And nobody's ever shot my dog, and I get along with my neighbors. I'm feeling really inadequate as an arfcommer right now. I think I need consolation or something. |
sounds like an everyday guy to me. maybe you should have attended the DNC. that might have made you more aware of the gun toting, religious nuts of society. |
| I've CCWed just about everywhere. The only place I've ever run into a problem was a gunshow where they made me clear the weapon. They gave me shit because it was loaded and then asked why I didn't clear it outside. Since that day, I just don't check a weapon. Too big of a hassle and concealed is concealed. |
No, it was the one in Westminster. It's been there ever since I've lived in Colorado. It's less than half a mile from a Wal-Mart, so the neighborhood does offer opportunities for me to be attacked by elderly receipt-checkers and the clerk at the jewelry counter, have a shouting match over whether they can sell me 9mm ammo for a carbine, and then have sushi at the Wild Oats afterwards. Hmmm...sushi at the Wild Oats...if had a troll account and low enough self-esteem to post in GD that could be interesting... |
